An early lead helped Augusta Athletics defeat Jim Falls Sturgeons 7-2 on Sunday.  Augusta Athletics scored on a single by Ryan Stunkel and a double by Noah Gillingham in the first inning.

Jakob Rosemeyer earned the win for Augusta Athletics. The righty lasted three innings, allowing two hits and one run while striking out three.  Logan Brown threw four innings in relief out of the bullpen.

Aj Schemenauer took the loss for Jim Falls Sturgeons. The hurler lasted six innings, allowing 11 hits and seven runs while striking out four.

Augusta Athletics totaled 11 hits.  Stunkel, Gillingham, and Chase Stensen-Veenendall each racked up multiple hits for Augusta Athletics.  Stunkel led Augusta Athletics with three hits in four at bats.

Jim Falls Sturgeons totaled six hits in the game.  Schemenauer and B Soran all managed multiple hits for Jim Falls Sturgeons.  Jim Falls Sturgeons stole four bases during the game as two players stole more than one. M Howard led the way with two.
